Joining With Us
Come and join with us. Come and be involved in the work and witness of the Mission. The Vineyard of the Lord needs you!
There are various ways to help.
1. Make a financial contribution by a simple donation.
2. Provide direct assistance to the Mission in Indonesia via our “Support an Indonesian Priest Fund.”
3. Direct your tithing by a direct transfer from your account .
4. Make a bequest in your Will. This simple procedure guarantees a lasting benefit. To make a bequest, you should consult your solicitor or Trustee to have a Will prepared, or add a codicil to an existing Will.
5. Donate your time, your expertise in your profession. Everyone is obliged to produce good fruit [Luke 3:9]. So come, and put to use your talent.
Holy Cross Australian Orthodox Mission, Inc., is a non-profit organisation and a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). This means that all gifts to the Mission (money, materials or in kind) are fully tax-deductible for the donor.

A note regarding finances.
The Mission is reliant solely on God’s grace for its existence, including our financial needs. The Mission’s funding comes only from the free-will tithes, gifts, and offerings of its members, friends and benefactors. We receive no funding from government or other parts of the Church. We do not “take a collection” in any form during any of our services.
Audited financial reports are made available to members and other interested parties at the Annual General meeting.
Governance and Administration
The Mission was legally incorporated in Victoria, Australia on the 23rd of January 2004.
The daily administrative affairs are managed by a Mission Board, consisting of 3 lay members.
– Administrator
– Secretary
– Treasurer
The monastic Superior of the Mission, together with the serving clergy, are involved in the spiritual guidance of the faithful, under the protection and watchfulness of the ruling Bishop, who protects the integrity of the Mission through its adherence to the apostolic traditions of the Ecumenical Councils and its canons.
Any unforeseen matters that may arise are to be resolved according to the Church Canons* [and general rules of the Great Typikon].
Everyone is welcome to attend services and to participate in the work of the Mission.
All Orthodox Christians are able to participate in the Sacraments.
Registered Members
Those who wish to become registered members of the Mission, that is:
– to vote at General Meetings
– to be eligible to hold Office
– or to participate in the management of the Mission under authorised Committees, are invited to do so.
Persons who wish to become a Registered Member of the Mission, should be committed Orthodox Christians, who desire to live by the spiritual directives of the Church.
A copy of the Spiritual Directives may be obtained from the Mission Administrator upon request.
Membership is not automatic. Intending members must be regularly involved in the worship and support of the Mission.
Without me, you are not able to do anything. [John 15:5]
